Hi Nancy! Could you begin by telling us more about you and your position at CVO-EUROPE?

I am Nancy, I am 38 years old, and I joined CVO-EUROPE 1 month ago.

My job at CVO is, together with Frederic Cheviron, the Basel Branch Manager, to develop the German-speaking part of Switzerland. I am responsible for the entire recruitment process. Therefore, I search for suitable new employees on the internet and on social media and evaluate if their profiles match with our needs by phone or chat.  I take care of job interviews and schedule technical interviews with our Senior Consultants/Managers.

Before joining CVO-EUROPE, I studied economics and did IT-project management and account management for Life Sciences companies for 3-4 years. Then, I decided to work in HR.

My profession as a recruiter started 8 years ago. Being connected with so many people from all over the world and inform them about new opportunities and help and support them to develop and grow themselves, make my position so interesting to me. I never get bored!

What are the CVO-EUROPE’s pros you would share with applicants?

As I am someone really focused on human beings, in my opinion, the big advantage of CVO-EUROPE is that it is a company very close to its employees. Many companies want to grow and to increase their profits, but CVO-EUROPE do not forget to focus on its employees, and emphasizes on human values.

To give you an example, yesterday, I had an interview with a young candidate who told me CVO-EUROPE caught his attention because the company is focused on its employees’ continuous skill development, giving them very interesting advantages like training, eLearning classes, a 3-days integration program, mentoring…

CVO-EUROPE invests a lot on internal training.

Then, I think people like working in international companies which include people from different countries, and CVO-EUROPE is one of them. It is a French company with different nationalities: French, Swiss, Belgian and so many others…

I would also say that the support within the company, and between employees, is great. I feel comfortable, everyone is so nice giving me all the necessary support!

Finally, CVO-EUROPE is specialized in life sciences and enables you to work for many different customers, so it is very enriching for you and your career.

Job interviews and hiring process may sometimes seem scary: could you give us some of your tips to success in?

Collect as many information as you can about the company before the interview. Some applicants are sensitive and feel nervous: if you get information and questions to ask, you will feel more comfortable.

Do not forget to be yourself, be honest, we want to know who you are! And ask every question you want to ask: there is no stupid questions!

Finally, what are your hobbies and out-of-office activities?

I love sport, especially HIIT trainings, mountain biking, and simply enjoy the landscapes and weather out. I am also  fond of stand-up paddling: you just enjoy nature, silence, water…

I also love to meet friends, to cook and to travel and prepare some new recipes I have found on the internet.

Traveling is something really important to me too.

CVO-EUROPE, it’s 1 job, 1000 experiences!
